Couldn’t make it to Eurobike 2024? No worries! Join us for a recap of the event. And if you were there, we’d love to hear about your experience!

Welcome to our recap of Eurobike 2024! We had an amazing time showcasing our latest titanium crankset design. In this article, we’ll share the event highlights, customer feedback, market trends, media coverage, and exciting collaborations, including our partnership with Sovelo and the co-branded tool set with BASE 550.

A Glimpse into the ORA’s Eurobike 2024

Eurobike 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany, was a fantastic event, bringing together over 1,900 booths and attracting bike enthusiasts and industry leaders from all over the world. This year’s show was bigger and better than ever, with a significant increase from last year’s ~1,500 booths. ORA Engineering proudly displayed our 3Al2.5V titanium bike frames and newly designed titanium crankset, capturing a lot of attention and inquiries.

Introducing our innovative titanium crankset, a concept product making its debut at Eurobike 2024! Designed to meet diverse customer needs, this new crankset addresses common compatibility issues with two major design considerations:

  • System Integration: With many years of experience, we recognize that compatibility issues are often underrated when designing a new bike frame. At ORA, we focus on providing value to customers through practical solutions. This new crankset concept is crafted to integrate with various bike models, considering factors like chainstay and chainring clearance, accommodating varying Bottom Bracket widths and axle sizes.
  • Three-Piece Design: We’ve transitioned from a traditional two-piece to a three-piece design. This intricate manufacturing process expands its application range and offers greater flexibility and adjustability.

What do you think about this concept? We value your feedback on this product as it will help us refine the design to better meet your needs. Email our sales team to share your thoughts and stay connected!

What You Loved: Customer Feedback and Market Trends

Eurobike 2024 gave us a wonderful opportunity to connect with customers and industry experts, gathering valuable feedback on our products. The response to our titanium frames and parts was incredibly positive. Customers were particularly impressed with our anodized finishes, and many found our designs to be highly practical. Specific products like our newly developed Titanium cranksets gained significant interest from major brands. Customers also appreciated the high-quality design and practical applications of our new products.

As for market trends, feedback from European clients and media indicated that while inventory levels in Europe have decreased, there is still a significant amount of stock in the market. This has led to substantial discounts and promotional efforts, making the market challenging. However, there is a general consensus that conditions will start to improve in the second or third quarter of 2025.

In the Spotlight: Our Eurobike Media Coverage

We were thrilled with the media attention we received at Eurobike 2024. Our exhibition was highlighted by GCN Spain on their social media, Pinkbike and Bikepacking.com gave us a special mention.

Pinkbike’s article, “Brian’s Randoms from Eurobike 2024,” featured our new titanium crankset, noting its lightweight design at ~400g, made from 3al 2.5v titanium tubing with a 6/4 titanium spindle. They highlighted the crankset’s compatibility with major BB standards and its potential improvements over similar products.

Partnerships That Shine: Collaborations with Sovelo & BASE 550

At Eurobike 2024, we had the pleasure of co-showing our booth with Sovelo during the last two days. Sovelo, known for their innovative bike designs, benefited from the increased exposure and customer interactions, and we were happy to support their growth.

Additionally, we introduced an exciting collaboration with BASE 550, a Taiwanese brand renowned for their high-quality EDC tool kits. Together, we co-designed a 6Al-4V Ti tool kit for bike enthusiasts, which we gifted to our customers this year. This unique tool kit, made 100% in-house, features an all-titanium build, a seasonal beer bottle opener, a 1/4” hex bit driver, a pry bar/flathead screwdriver, and a spoke tuning tool, all finished with parachute cord for a comfortable grip and unique anodized finishing. This is our first step in offering exclusive bike-related EDC tools. Since we handed out several of these tool kits at Eurobike, we’d love to hear your feedback! Let us know how you’re enjoying your new titanium tool kit.
