Couldn’t make it to Taipei Cycle Show 2026? Here’s the ORA Engineering side of the story.
From March 25–28, TaiNex Hall 1 in Taipei was buzzing with energy, and our team was right in the middle of it at Booth #I810 – celebrating our 30th anniversary and sharing what’s next in titanium engineering. We brought custom framesets and components, tubing and titanium finishing samples, plus a brand‑new Pinion‑compatible crank for all‑road and MTB builds, letting visitors walk from raw tubes and weld samples to complete bikes in just a few steps.
The vibe on the show floor felt different this year: compared to last year, we noticed there are more Japanese and Asian brands visiting, and the conversations at our tables jumped straight into new product lines and first‑time titanium projects. Official reports cite around 900 companies across 3,450 booths, including about 200 international exhibitors from more than 30 countries, with industry coverage noting fewer but highly focused visitors. That lined up with our week: full calendars, focused meetings, and product managers and engineers exploring how titanium and advanced metals could shape their next generation of designs.

From Conversations to Future Projects
If you stopped by our booth this year, you probably noticed it right away: people weren’t just browsing – they were pulling out sketches and asking big questions. ORA Engineering as an ODM partner, ready to co‑develop products from the very first idea, and our meeting tables stayed packed from morning to closing time.
Many conversations jumped straight into “let’s build this.” Product managers and R&D engineers arrived with early geometries, material ideas, and roadmap questions, wanting to explore how titanium frames, components, and even new crank platforms could fit into their future line‑ups. Instead of quick walk‑throughs, we saw laptops open, notebooks filling up, and teams mapping out next steps together on the spot.
For our team, this was one of the most energising parts of the show. Taipei Cycle Show 2026 felt less like a static showroom and more like a week of working sessions – a place where titanium projects started to take shape right at the table.

A Titanium Crank Story in Progress
Among all those conversations, one project captured the “let’s build something new together” spirit especially clearly. A long‑time crank manufacturer visited our booth with a simple request that said everything:
“We want to launch our first titanium crank. Can ORA help us make it real?”
From there, the discussion quickly moved into what a true flagship crank could look like in their line‑up – how titanium engineering and the right testing plan could support a long‑term platform instead of just a single model.
The project is still in motion, but it already feels like a glimpse into the next 30 years. Brands with strong product DNA are teaming up with specialised titanium partners like ORA Engineering to open completely new chapters in frames, components, and drivetrain parts. It’s not just “one more crank” – it’s a shared titanium platform we’re starting to build from the ground up.

30 Years of ORA: “Make a Wish” at Taipei Cycle Show
Taipei Cycle Show 2026 also marked ORA Engineering’s 30th anniversary, so we used the booth to tell a fuller story – not just of products, but of people and relationships.
Along one side, a history timeline walked visitors through three decades of ORA, from early steel and chromoly frames to today’s titanium solutions. Next to it, a “People of ORA” wall introduced the engineers and technicians behind the work – many with over 20 years at the company. And right in the middle of the booth, a rotating “Make a Wish” stand invited partners to leave handwritten messages on our CHEERS TO THE FUTURE cards. Over four days, the stand slowly filled up with notes in different languages and handwriting styles.
A few of the wishes that really stayed with us:
- “Happy 30! Thank you for your support. Looking forward to 30 more!” – (Brad, Kite Bicycles & President of Velo Solutions Consulting LLC.)
- “Wishing you a prosperous future and keep on getting more and more people on the bikes.” – (Nate, Probike Thailand)
- “Always the best support. You guys are the BEST!” – (Todd)
Some messages were short and punchy, others came with little sketches – a titanium frame here, a crank there, even a cartoon bike with oversized wheels. Together they formed something you can’t capture in a spreadsheet: a wall of shared history, trust, and future plans.
For our 30th year, we didn’t count success in units shipped. We counted it in handwriting.

Behind the Booth: A 30th Anniversary BBQ
Before Taipei Cycle Show 2026, we celebrated our 30th anniversary with a daytime BBQ gathering at our Taichung headquarters on February 12.
For one afternoon, we paused production and turned our front courtyard into a gathering space for around 80 team members. With tents, a stage, a sound system, and a professional BBQ team handling the grills, our staff could step away from welding benches, calibration work, and daily production to enjoy food, games, and time together.
The celebration included team challenges and charades, bringing out plenty of laughter and friendly competition across departments. Some teams showed instant chemistry; others found out they were not quite as in sync as they thought.
One of the most memorable moments came when Chairman Hsu reflected on ORA’s journey and shared a line that stayed with many of us:
「從無到有,到立足國際。」
From building something out of nothing, to earning our place on the global stage.
For ORA Engineering, the anniversary was more than a company event. It was a reminder of the people behind our precision manufacturing, titanium frames, components, and long-standing partnerships with global bicycle brands.
We also captured the day in a one-minute highlight video, featuring team games, conversations across production lines, and the faces behind the frames and components seen at Taipei Cycle Show 2026.
Behind every product we brought to the show is a team that has grown with ORA Engineering for 30 years.

Looking Ahead: ORA as a Titanium Solution Provider
Taipei Cycle Show 2026 and our 30th anniversary shows a clear next step for ORA Engineering: expanding from a titanium bicycle frame and components manufacturer into a broader Titanium Solution Provider.
Today, we work with brands developing high-performance titanium applications across cycling and beyond. For projects where low weight, strength, durability, and corrosion resistance are critical, ORA brings decades of material expertise, precision manufacturing, and end-to-end customization to the table.
If you are a product manager, sourcing director, or R&D engineer exploring titanium for your next project, our team can help you evaluate materials, manufacturing feasibility, and the right development path from the early stage.
